In early May 2024, NOVAS signed a contract for the category "Supply of control cabinet systems for Buaran 3 water treatment plant" with Suez Infrastructure Co., Ltd. This is the fourth contract within the framework of comprehensive cooperation between the two companies in developing water and wastewater projects in Southeast Asia. Buaran 3 water treatment plant with a design capacity of 260m3/day and night will contribute to meeting the water demand of Jakarta city, Indonesia. Currently, water plants in Jakarta can only process 1.47 million cubic meters of water daily, enough to provide clean water for 65% of residential areas. The city government aims to provide enough clean water for 100% residential area by 2030.
The signing of this new contract is a testament to Suez's confidence in NOVAS's capacity and project implementation results. Through projects carried out abroad, the professional qualifications and international working experience of the NOVAS technical team are gradually improved. NOVAS believes that the project will be completed with the highest quality and on schedule so that Buaran 3 Water Treatment Plant will come into operation in the first half of 2025 as planned.
